Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Division of Endocrinology at Toronto General Hospital. The PA will deliver patient care in outpatient and inpatient diabetes teams, perform assessments, and work within a multidisciplinary group.

Training and leadership opportunities are available throughout orientation and ongoing development. This is a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• New graduate from Physician Assistant program.
• Must be CCAP/PA-C and CAPA member.
• Eligible to work in Canada/Ontario.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, public and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Apply theoretical knowledge and advanced clinical expertise to provide excellent care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in quality improvement, research and administrative responsibilities within the interprofessional team.
• Contribute to policy or clinical pathway development and ongoing education.
• Interact with endocrinologists, PAs, nurse practitioners and other health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Perform duties consistent with the job classification as required.
