Unity Health Toronto is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael's Hospital.
The PA will provide comprehensive care across inpatient and outpatient settings, working with endocrinologists and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and accessibility. The role includes clinical care under physician supervision, plus administrative support, care transitions, and inbox triage.
This Physician Assistant (PA) position works collaboratively within the St. Michael Hospital Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, in the Kidney and Metabolism Program to advance care that optimizes patient outcomes and enhances safety, efficiency, effectiveness and accessibility to care for patients that reflect the vision, mission and values of St. Michael's Hospital.
This PA role will be integrated into the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. The PA will provide comprehensive clinical care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, working collaboratively with endocrinologists and the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities will include evaluating and managing patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, developing and implementing treatment plans, responding to clinical consultations, and providing patient education and follow up.
In addition to direct patient care, the PA will support the physicians through key operational and administrative responsibilities. This will include helping the Division through career transitions and changing clinical roles, coordinating transitions in care, and assisting with inbox management including reviewing and triaging appropriate messages, results and communications. The successful candidate will be organized, collaborative, adaptable and comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with practice-support activities.
