Job summary

Pasqua Hospital in Regina is seeking a Physician Assistant for a full-time, permanent position within the Ostomy & Wound Resource Team. The PA works under a formal Physician/PA relationship to provide medical care, order and interpret tests, and implement treatment plans.

Successful candidates will hold an accredited PA degree and PA-C certification, be eligible for CPSS registration, and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience as PA is an asset.

Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience

• Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset

Education

• Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC

Licenses

• (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)
• Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
• Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
• Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
• Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or
