Job summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a full-time Gynecology position at St. Boniface Hospital. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include performing exams, ordering and interpreting investigations, participating in rounds, and maintaining electronic medical records. Eligible candidates must be CPSM-acceptable graduates and able to obtain a Medical Staff

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.
• Eligible for Medical Staff Appointment.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Graduate of Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM.
• Graduate of accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad; may require Clinical Assistant Assessment, NAC OSCE or LMCC.

Responsibilities

• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions.
• Conduct history and physical exams in settings such as the Emergency Department and wards.
• Follow patients in pre/peri/postoperative wards and other clinical settings.
• Attend clinical and educational rounds.
• Record all patient encounters in the electronic medical record and related systems.
• Communicate effectively in English with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a full-time position in Gynecology at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic, therapeutic investigations/interventions. Duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings that could include the Emergency Department and wards, as well as following patients in the pre/peri/postoperative ward and/or other clinical settings. Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters, these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when available. Assistants must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
