Job summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a full-time position in Gynecology at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and is accompanied by a benefits package. The role requires licensure eligibility with CPSM and Medical Staff Appointment eligibility, with duties including clinical rounds and EMR documentation in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.
• Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.
• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic, therapeutic investigations/interventions.
• Conduct history and physical exams in settings such as the Emergency Department and wards, including pre/peri/postoperative care.
• Attend clinical and educational rounds and document encounters in the medical record.
• Communicate effectively in English with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Education

Graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM

Graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad
