Position Details

• Type: Temporary Full-Time
• Location: CRP Medicine Program, Niagara Health all sites
• Hours: 75 hours per pay period
• Union: Non Union

Position Objective

The Physician Assistant will be a collaborative member of the Niagara Health Medicine program, responsible for providing direct patient care including assessment, management, and treatment of adult patients in various settings. The role involves working under the supervision of physicians and collaborating with nurses, allied health, and other healthcare team members to promote efficient, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Canadian or US accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
• Certification (CCPA or PA-C) or eligibility through PACCC or NCCPA
• Knowledge and skills aligned with professional standards and patient safety
• ACLS certification
• Experience in geriatrics, critical care, or internal medicine preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Sound judgment, discretion, and initiative in handling confidential information
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on patient needs
