Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy operates integrated health clinics and is seeking a full-time family physician for the Gimli, Manitoba, family medical/walk-in clinics. The physician will provide care in English and manage a core practice across clinic, acute-care and long-term care settings.

The role includes coordinating primary patient care, examining and advising patients, ordering diagnostics, prescribing and administering medications and treatments. A five-year commitment to Gimli is expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
• Must provide proof of CMPA coverage prior to starting practice
• Must hold or be eligible for CCFP.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a busy family practice including clinic, acute-care and long-term care.
• Coordinate primary patient care, examining and advising patients, and ordering diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Establish a medical practice in Gimli, MB and provide services for a minimum of five years.

Description

• Neighbourly Pharmacy operates integrated health clinics, using pharmacies as the nucleus for expanded practices. We are seeking a full-time family physician for the family medical/walk-in clinics run out of pharmacy locations in Gimli, Manitoba.
• The physician will hold a core practice of clinic, acute-care and longer-term care. Services are provided in English.
• These clinics provide walk-in and by-appointment medical services to the community of Gimli. The physician will perform all duties associated with a busy family practice, including coordinating primary patient care, examining and advising patients, ordering diagnostic procedures, prescribing and administering medications and treatments.
• The chosen candidates agree to establish a medical practice in Gimli, MB and to provide medical services as referenced above for a minimum period of five years.
