We are proud to announce the opening of our second location in 2025, alongside the expansion of our existing grades into middle school. We are seeking an exceptional Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to join our team and support our vision of fostering a love for fitness, health, and well-being in students. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the lives of students as we embark on our next chapter of growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons that align with Pear Tree’s holistic approach to education.
  2. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude toward physical activity.
  3. Monitor and assess students’ physical development and provide constructive feedback.
  4. Organize and oversee school sports events, intramurals, and other physical activity programs.
  5. Contribute to the planning and execution of outdoor education and extracurricular programs.
  6. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  7. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into our theme-based curriculum.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a P.E. or related role, preferably within a progressive or independent school environment.
  3. Passion for health, fitness, and education, with a strong understanding of child development.
  4. Exceptional communication and classroom management skills.
  5. Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for contributing to an expanding school community.
  6. Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
