Job description

Cypress Mountain is now hiring instructors for the 2025/26 winter season. Join us and get paid to share your love of snow with others and ski or ride all winter long!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Teach private, single-day group and multi-day lessons to adults and children in a variety of lesson programs.
• Provide customer service: greeting guests, assist students in rentals, hosting school groups, and lesson wrap up.
• Provide safe learning environments by demonstrating good class management and following the Alpine Responsibility Code procedures.
• Maintain timely documentation including daily class cards and incident reports.
• Assist with special events as required.
• Maintain teaching areas including set up and take down: fencing, signage, and shoveling.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following the Health & Safety program and by attending a pre-shift meeting daily.
• May include training and supervising team members depending on certification level and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
• CSIA/PSIC/CASI Level 1/2/3/4 instructor (or foreign equivalent).
• Ability to work well with both children (ages 3+) and adults.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and a willingness to learn.

AVAILABILITY
• Full time availability: 4-6 days per week including weekends, evenings, and Winter Holidays.
• Start/End Date: late November – early April (weather and business volume dependent).
• Length of employment is dependent on seasonal operations.
• Regular availability during the Winter Holidays is a requirement for employment.

COMPENSATION:
Level 1 $19/hr
Level 2 $22/hr
Level 3 $25/hr
Level 4 $32/hr
Dual Certification: + $1/hr
2nd Language: + 1.50/hr
Season End Loyalty Bonus: 5% Earnings
Private Request Commissions: + $15/hr – + $20/hr
