Job summary

London Drugs is seeking a Photo Lab Specialist to assist in photofinishing production and deliver outstanding customer service at the counter.

You will print, process, and sort film, scan for digital delivery, and help maintain lab equipment. Preference is given to candidates with film processing or photography experience and proficiency in Photoshop, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Familiar with film processing or photography equipment is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production of photofinishing and provide superior customer service at the Photofinishing counter.
• Print, process, and sort film of all sizes and types; scan for digital delivery.
• Maintain equipment and general housekeeping under the Photo Lab Manager.
• Support other technical departments as needed and demonstrate product knowledge across Photo Electronics and mobile phones.

Photo Lab Specialist

The Photo Lab Specialist is responsible for assisting in production of all Photofinishing as well as providing superior customer service at the Photofinishing counter, while meeting quality and service standards, and maintaining a professional attitude, and work environment.

As a Photo Lab Specialist you would be responsible for:

• Printing, processing, and sorting film of all sizes and types.
• Maintaining equipment under the direction of the Photo Lab Manager.
• Mixing chemicals and general housekeeping.
• Scanning film using a PC for digital delivery of images.

This is a customer service position which requires a great deal of customer contact. Accordingly, you must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment while at the same time providing quality service in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Preference will be given to applicants with experience with film processing, photography equipment, Photoshop, and basic desktop applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent).

You will also have the opportunity to work in the other technical departments such as Photo Electronics and mobile phones. Product knowledge of these two areas would be considered an asset.

Photo Lab Specialists must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday to Sunday.
