Job summary

London Drugs in Calgary is seeking a friendly Photo Lab Specialist to assist in producing photofinishing orders and deliver superior customer service at the counter.

You will handle printing, processing, film sorting, equipment maintenance, and basic desktop tasks, with opportunities to work in Photo Electronics and mobile phones. Experience with film processing, photography gear, Photoshop, and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience with a focus on helping customers.
• Experience with film processing and photographic equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with Photoshop and basic desktop applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Print, process, and sort film of all sizes.
• Maintain lab equipment under supervisor guidance.
• Mix chemicals and perform general housekeeping.

Photo Lab Specialist

The Photo Lab Specialist is responsible for assisting in production of all Photofinishing as well as providing superior customer service at the Photofinishing counter, while meeting quality and service standards, and maintaining a professional attitude, and work environment.

As a Photo Lab Specialist you would be responsible for:

• Printing, processing, and sorting film of all sizes and types.
• Maintaining equipment under the direction of the Photo Lab Manager.
• Mixing chemicals and general housekeeping.
• Scanning film using a PC for digital delivery of images.

This is a customer service position which requires a great deal of customer contact. Accordingly, you must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment while at the same time providing quality service in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Preference will be given to applicants with experience with film processing, photography equipment, Photoshop, and basic desktop applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent).

You will also have the opportunity to work in the other technical departments such as Photo Electronics and mobile phones. Product knowledge of these two areas would be considered an asset.

Photo Lab Specialists must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday to Sunday.
