Job summary

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Phlebotomist (Donor Centre Associate) to join our BC-North Surrey Donor Centre Mobiles. You will perform phlebotomy, register donors, screen for eligibility, and deliver a safe, friendly donor experience.

Shifts vary with 0.63 FTE; start date 2026-09-08. Salary is SD18–SD21 ($31.06–$32.31/hour). Travel to mobile events is required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary asset.
• Accredited phlebotomy training or 1 year related experience.
• Minimum 3 years public-facing customer service.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn new systems; Word/Outlook assets.
• Bilingual abilities are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy in the collection process following health and safety standards.
• Register donors and conduct confidential screening to determine eligibility.
• Monitor donors for safety and comfort; provide post-donation care and instruction.
• Ensure accurate product information in the system and during labelling.
• Contribute to process improvements and elevate the donor experience.
• Assist at mobile events by setting up booths and equipment.
