Job summary

West Nipissing General Hospital in Sturgeon Falls, ON, is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in a casual, flexible role with hours ranging from 0 to 22.5 per week.

You will perform venipunctures, ensure proper labeling, maintain clean safety protocols, and input patient data into the hospital database.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using Laboratory Information Systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and other blood collection procedures with precision.
