Job summary

Lawtons in Stellarton is looking for a friendly, professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will perform prescription assembly, data entry, handle refill requests and deliveries, promote Profile programs, and support daily pharmacy operations.

Preferred is a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma with prior pharmacy experience. You should have excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly and data entry.
• Process customer transactions and manage prescriptions.
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services such as medication reviews and health risk assessments.
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
