Pharmacy Technician, Billing and Finance - Hybrid Remote

Join us for the Pharmacy Technician, Billing and Finance - Hybrid Remote role at SSM Health.

Position Overview

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Oklahoma City, OK, or St. Charles, MO, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. It involves working within our Pharmacy Business Support Team to ensure accurate medication billing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting for pharmacy services, including accounts receivable, month-end closing, and compliance.
  • Verify dispensed high-cost medications against charges in the electronic health record.
  • Evaluate and improve billing processes, resolve charging errors, and rebill charity medications in compliance with PBM and HRSA guidelines.
  • Oversee billing for departments and external organizations, verify billing during EHR downtime, and assist with audits.
  • Maintain invoice logs, process invoices, and allocate costs appropriately.
  • Handle PBM contracting, compliance, and serve as HIPAA privacy officer.
  • Support pharmacy licensing, accreditation, and renewal processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • No prior experience required.
  • State-specific pharmacy technician licensure and certification (see detailed requirements for Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
Physical & Professional Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Use of vision, hearing, and communication skills essential for the role.
  • Proficiency in keyboard/data entry.
