About the Pharmacy Department

Our team ensures medication management with care and precision, including dispensing, inventory control, and compounding. We support patients with accurate and timely medication administration and collaborate across departments to streamline medication distribution, upholding high standards of patient care.

In this role you will
  • Dispense drugs using robotic drug distribution system
  • Replenish stock in automated dispensing cabinets and OR workstations
  • Provide sterile and non-sterile compounding, including TPN & chemotherapy
  • Perform automated narcotic and controlled substance distribution
  • Repack and barcode medications
  • Maintain quality assurance and inventory, including robots
  • Manage purchasing and inventory
  • Double check technical work independently
  • Attend departmental meetings and educational programs
  • Assist in training new team members
  • Contribute to policy and procedure reviews
  • Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Registered and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists

Preferred:

  • 1 year recent hospital experience

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent work performance and attendance
