Aufgaben

• Receive prescriptions from patients and verify completeness (name, address, DOB, allergies, 3rd party info, special requests, prescriber, generic/brand, Prioritizing with 21st Century Guidelines).
• Perform computer functions: data entry, price checks, patient info entry/update, interpret and process prescriptions incl. Latin abbreviations, refills, report generation, patient profile checks.
• Fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, select products, perform accuracy checks, label and prepare for pharmacist checking, obtain verbal refill approvals where allowed, manage verbal refill forms.
• Maintain inventory control, assist in stock levels, remove expired meds monthly, tidy Will Call bin, order drugs/supplies, manage wholesalers, stock shelves.
• General housekeeping: stocked filling supplies, keep dispensary clean and safe; handle packaging/dispensing equipment and clerical tasks.
• Clerical organization: file prescriptions/invoices/reports, support administration (journals, A/R, aged trial balance).
• Assist with OTC operations, stocking, cashier duties as assigned by OTC Manager/Pharmacist.
