Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and delivery of pharmacy services in the community. You will assist pharmacists, handle prescription data entry, and help maintain efficient pharmacy operations with a focus on patient care.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, and ensuring accuracy and privacy. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to pharmacy standards and procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Pharmacy assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers and gather prescription information.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Set realistic customer expectations regarding wait times.
• Locate and process prescriptions and ancillary items.
• Manage cash register and transactions in the dispensary.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy requirements are followed.
• Receive and process new and repeat prescriptions.
• Adjudicate third-party billing and manage accounts.
• Answer telephone and route to a pharmacist when needed.
• File documentation per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
• Assist in prescription preparation and data entry.
• Count, package, and label prescriptions per standards.
