Job summary

Lawtons is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Pharmacy Assistant to join our community-focused team in Nova Scotia. You will support daily pharmacy operations, including data entry, dispensing prescriptions, handling refill requests, and promoting our Profile programs to patients.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly and data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stock, manual third parties.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
