Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Leader to oversee Rx receiving, dispensing and staffing at our pharmacy location in Canada. The role focuses on accuracy, timely service and patient counseling, with responsibility for inventory and compliance.

You will supervise staff, drive financial performance, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver a superior patient experience within aHealth & Wellness focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and staff interaction.
• Ability to hire, coach and manage performance of pharmacy staff.
• Excellent customer service and professional demeanor.
• Experience building business through community-based marketing strategies.
• Solid problem-solving skills with action plan execution.
• Proficiency with Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy staff.
• Hire and manage performance of staff.
• Ensure financial and operational success of the department.
• Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
• Counsel patients on medications and health plans in a friendly, proactive manner.
• Educate customers through public health days and clinics.
• Address patient needs and respond to doctor requests/issues promptly.
• Review budgeted sales and net contribution; identify opportunities.
• Monitor costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy.
