Job summary

Mint Health + Drugs seeks a Pharmacy Manager at our Franklin Station location in Calgary to lead patient care, operations, and staff. You will supervise pharmacists and technicians while ensuring safe, professional services and a compassionate patient experience.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, ACP license in good standing, injection authorization with APA, and clear background checks. Direct patient care experience and EHR/order-entry familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
• Valid License with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) in good standing.
• Injection administration authorization; APA is required.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and a clean Criminal Record Check.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records and order entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess prescriptions for safety and efficacy and provide patient care.
• Develop and monitor health plans in collaboration with other professionals.
• Prepare, dispense medications and provide counseling to support adherence.
• Manage chronic disease therapies and support harm reduction initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting Mint's commitment to exceptional service, operational excellence, and a positive experience for patients, customers, and team members.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Patient-Centered Care & Assessment: Assess new and repeat prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy, applying trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches.
• Medication Management: Develop, monitor, and adjust health plans (drug and non-drug) in collaboration with other health professionals.
• Dispensing & Counseling: Prepare and dispense medications, including injections, while providing specialized counseling to support adherence.
• Chronic Disease & Harm Reduction: Manage chronic disease therapies, offer screening programs, and support substance misuse and abuse treatment.
• Supervision: Direct pharmacy staff and technicians to ensure safe and professional services.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Licensure: Valid License with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) in good standing.
• Additional Authorizations: Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection is usually required or considered an asset; Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) is required.
• Screening: Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (essential) and a clean Criminal Record Check.
• Experience: Direct patient care experience is preferred.
• Technology: Experience using electronic health records (e.g., Kroll) and medication order entry systems.
