Job summary

Mint Health + Drugs in Strathmore, AB, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our pharmacist-led team. You will provide clinical services, patient counseling, vaccinations, and manage therapy in collaboration with prescribers.

You will supervise dispensing to ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and work with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate transitions of care. Required: BScPharm or PharmD, active licensure, injection certification; experience with Kroll and EHRs; strong

Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Services: Conduct clinical assessments, manage chronic and acute medication therapy, and provide comprehensive patient counseling. Clinical Interventions: Administer injections and vaccines, adapt and renew prescriptions, and manage drug therapies to optimize patient health outcomes. Dispensing & Quality Assurance: Oversee the accurate preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with local physicians, clinics, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate seamless transitions of care. Healthcare Education: Serve as a trusted drug information resource for patients, caregivers, and fellow healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Licensure: Active Pharmacist license (or immediate eligibility for licensure). Injection Certification: Valid certification to administer injections. Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy software (experience with Kroll is highly preferred) and electronic health records. Background Check: Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search prior to employment. Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative team player mindset.
