This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs, counseling patients with appropriate documentation, and providing friendly, positive, and proactive interactions with all customers are key responsibilities. Additionally, supervising staff, managing financial and operational success, and creating awareness through public relations are essential duties.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supervising and guiding staff
  • Hiring and managing performance
  • Ensuring financial and operational success
  • Accurately preparing, dispensing, and controlling medications
  • Managing inventory levels
  • Counseling patients on medications
  • Creating awareness through public relations activities
  • Resolving patient and doctor requests / issues
  • Reviewing sales and net contribution against budgets
  • Identifying sales opportunities
  • Controlling costs within the pharmacy

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Experience with community-based marketing strategies
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to implement action plans
  • Proficiency in personal computing; knowledge of Healthwatch or KROLL Pharmacy systems is an asset
