Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking an Inventory Associate in Mississauga to manage daily pharmacy inventory, perform cycle counts, and support procurement for Central Pharmacy Services.

You will receive pharmacy totes, store items, monitor stock levels, and help maintain MMS data while upholding 5S standards. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with operational teams to optimize inventory and reduce wastage.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education with 1-2 years in Pharmacy or Inventory.
• Creative problem solver and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Experience in fast-paced environments
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Good written and verbal communication
• Interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and shift flexibility

Responsibilities

• Unpack and receive pharmacy inventory in a secure environment.
• Store inventory in appropriate locations following workflow.
• Maintain stock rotation and remove expired product.
• Perform cycle counts and update MMS system.
• Place orders, receive orders, and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain non-prescription merchandise and manage stock rotation.
• Review inventory initiatives and lead times for Central Pharmacy Services.
• Identify improvement opportunities in inventory management.
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Ensure proper storage of medications following 5S.
• Manage wastage, expiry control and returns per disposal protocol.
• Prioritize recalls and support Quality & Compliance teams.
• Review changes to DSP, DIN and UPC, and monitor drug appearances.
• Maintain Overstock and communicate low/out-of-stock statuses.
• Monitor stock-related communications and reports.
• Promote inclusiveness and belonging in the workplace.
