Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team across banners. You will handle prescription data entry, transactions, and refills while supporting clinical services and profile programs.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset, with a commitment to company standards and patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

What You Bring To The Table

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
