Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist with pharmacy services, and help maintain daily operations in the store.

You will ensure timely and courteous service to customers while following Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include customer greeting, prescription data entry, third-party adjudication, and coordinating communications with Pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required)
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred
• Previous Pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Customer service orientation and confidentiality awareness

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and collect prescription information per standards
• Assist with dispensing and administrative tasks under pharmacist supervision
• Adjudicate third party billing, manage online and manual accounts
• Answer phone calls and refer inquiries to a pharmacist when needed
• Handle faxes and coordinate call backs and document filing
