Job summary

Loblaw's Real Canadian Superstore in Medicine Hat, AB is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to assist pharmacists, verify prescription data, and support daily pharmacy operations.

You will greet patients, enter data, manage stock, and assist with OTC inquiries, with hours that may include days, evenings, nights and weekends. This is a unionized position with a starting wage range of $15.00 to $25.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Proficient computer/data entry skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, night shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm prescription accuracy before filling
• Enter patient care information into data systems
• Handle third party adjudication if necessary
• Dispense prescription medications accurately
• Maintain pharmacy stock via inventory controls
• Answer general OTC inquiries and refer to Pharmacist when needed
• Process customer prescription pickups
