Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support accurate dispensing of prescription medications in our Toronto-area facilities.

You will greet patients, verify prescription details, perform data entry, assist with third-party adjudication, and help with stock management and OTC inquiries to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Proven customer service experience in a retail/pharmacy setting.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify accuracy of prescription information before filling.
• Enter patient care information into the system accurately.
• Handle third party adjudication if required.
• Dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• Answer general OTC inquiries from patients and refer to Pharmacist when needed.
• Manage customer prescription pickup and handoff.

In This Exciting Role You Will Be Responsible For

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling


• Data entry of patient care information


• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)


• Accurate dispensing prescription medications


• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems


• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary


• Handling customer prescription pick up

Job Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
