Qualifications

• Experience in pharmacy operations and stock management is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Customer service experience is required to interact with patients.
• Proficient with computer data entry and pharmacy software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm accuracy of prescription information prior to filling
• Enter patient care information into the data system
• Process third party adjudication when necessary
• Accurately dispense prescription medications
• Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• Answer general OTC inquiries and refer to Pharmacist when needed
• Handle customer prescription pick-up processes

In This Exciting Role You Will Be Responsible For

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling


• Data entry of patient care information


• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)


• Accurate dispensing prescription medications


• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems


• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary


• Handling customer prescription pick up

Job Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
