Picture Butte Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional patient care. The role includes dispensing support, inventory management, and patient interactions in a fast-paced setting.

Experience in hospital or pharmacy technician roles is valued, with familiarity in Kroll software beneficial. This full-time, on-site position offers growth opportunities and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Prior hospital or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience as pharmacy technician or similar role desirable.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with focus on patient care and service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus, particularly Kroll.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing.
• Manage inventory levels, including stock replenishment and organization.
• Provide patient care and guidance on over-the-counter products.
• Prepare prescription labels and ensure accuracy of medication information.
• Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient interactions.
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry and filing medical records.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Utilize medical terminology to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Accurately blister packing medications.
