Job summary

CareRx Corporation seeks a Pharmacy Assistant L2 to support a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. You will assist with medication preparation, packaging and organization, while upholding Pharmacy Standards of Practice. The role is on-site at our Calgary pharmacy with a five-day workweek and on-call weekends.

You will enter prescriptions in Kroll, handle refills, assist nurses via phone and ensure timely delivery, while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited program preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kroll and eMAR systems (Point Click Care, Catalyst, Med E Care).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to operate PACMed and PACVision machines.
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter new prescriptions and client information in Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Process refill prescriptions within Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nurses with strong customer service.
• Conduct third-party adjudications required for prescription billing.
• Ensure adherence to order cut-off times for timely completion.
• Deliver prescription labels to production ahead of delivery times.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards for information security.
• Perform other duties as required within the Pharmacy Assistant scope.
