Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant L1 to support LTC homes and retirement communities. You will assist with preparation, packaging, and organization of medication deliveries, while aiding daily operations per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

On-site role with a focus on accuracy, inventory management, and collaboration with nurses, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure safe medication management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy assistant role, preferably LTC or community setting.
• Comfortable working on-site independently within a long-term care environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock and restock medications in automated dispensing cabinets and inventory.
• Scan orders, verify resident identifiers, drug name, dosage and frequency.
• Perform audits of medication management system and inspect storage areas for compliance.
• Maintain documentation and confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards.
