Job Title: Pharmacy Technician 2 - Pharmacy Assistant with experience.

Job Status: Full-time Position 2

Reports To: Pharmacist in Charge, Pharmacy Manager, or Pharmacy Owner.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process all refill prescriptions electronically requested and check IVR voicemail messages.
  • Contact prescribers verbally or via fax for clarifications and various functions.
  • Process invoices received from the wholesaler and print them to be ready once the order is received.
  • Process weekly batching, printing hard copy reports, and new refill authorization.
  • Enter new or changed prescriptions in blister packs.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist on duty to provide efficient dispensary and pharmacy services.

Specific Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset.
  • Exceptional and professional customer service to our clients, and members of the care team, ensuring superb service at all times.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with the pharmacy team.

Preferred

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) in good standing, is optional.
  • Experienced Pharmacy Assistant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy.
  • Experience in the billing & third-party adjudication, ideal on Kroll, but not a must.
  • Some knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is optional.
