Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in St. John's, NL seeks a friendly, detail‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team. You’ll process prescriptions, handle refills, manage pill pack assembly, and support drug orders in a fast-paced environment.

A Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and prior pharmacy experience are assets. You’ll uphold company standards and deliver patient‑centered care while participating in clinical services scheduling and inventory tasks.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
