Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking an engaged Pharmacy Assistant to join our Canada-wide pharmacy team. You will contribute to safe prescription assembly, accurate data entry, and responsive customer service while supporting daily operations across our pharmacies.

Ideal candidates bring a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and a proactive attitude. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset, and you must thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment dedicated to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and perform data entry.
• Process customer transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and deliveries.
• Assist with compounding and pill-pack assembly.
• Support inventory, stocking, and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with clinical services scheduling and patient care tasks.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What You Bring To The Table

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
