Sobeys Inc. is seeking a friendly and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team.

You will handle prescription data entry, process customer transactions, and assist with compounding, pill pack assembly, and administrative duties to support high‑quality patient care across our banners in Canada. The role emphasizes attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to standard procedures while delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma required or equivalent training.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to follow company standards and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs and perform compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly and filing prescriptions.
• Order replenishments and maintain supplies; assist with administrative duties.
• Schedule professional clinical services and ensure regulatory compliance.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What You Bring To The Table

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
