Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team. You will assist with prescription assembly and data entry, process customer transactions, and handle refill requests in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports clinicians and maintains accurate records in line with Sobeys standards. Preferred candidates hold a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, with previous pharmacy experience considered an asset.

• Strong attention to detail in data entry and prescription handling.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and enter data accurately.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What You Bring To The Table

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
