Shoppers Drug Mart in Oakville is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in pharmacy services. You will help with data entry, patient interaction, and coordination of dispensing activities in line with Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries.
• Set realistic customer expectations as to wait times.
• Locate and cash out prescriptions and any ancillary items.
• Ensure customers requiring counseling are referred to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
