CareRx is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant (Entry level- Training Provided) to support LTC homes and retirement communities from our Cambridge Pharmacy, located at 1165 Franklin Boulevard Unit L Cambridge, ON N1R8E1. The role involves assisting with medication preparation, packaging and delivery organization, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited program is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with clientele.
• Calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate documentation of completed work as per policies and procedures.
• Preparing prescriptions (gathering data from nursing staff) to be filled via pharmacy software.
• Processing, adjudicating, and filling prescriptions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
