Job summary

Royal Drugs in Ottawa is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant (Compounding) to support pharmacists and technicians in preparing sterile products and fulfilling customer orders. This full-time, permanent role emphasizes accuracy, aseptic techniques, and teamwork in a clean room environment.

You will handle compounding, supply ingredients, label containers, assist with final checks, calibrate equipment, manage stock, and keep work areas organized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Compounding sterile preparations in accordance with P&Ps and company standards.
• Calculate and supply clean room staff with required ingredients for compounding.
• Labels final containers and packs orders for delivery.
• Support pharmacists during the final check.
• Calibrate, monitor, and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room.
• Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies and maintain inventory.
• Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room.

Purpose:

Pharmacy Assistants work with the Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.

Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant (Compounding)

Location: Ottawa (1100 Algoma Rd, Gloucester, ON K1B 0A3)

Salary: $20.20-$22/hr (commensurate with experience)

Job Responsibilities:

• Compounding Sterile Preparations in compliance with P&Ps and standards set by the company
• Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients that are required for compounding

• Support pharmacists during the final check
