Clarke's Pharmacy in Thompson, Manitoba is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. You will support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, greet customers, and help with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Highly skilled in the use of Kroll, with strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes and clinical services flagging.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Regular shifts will be scheduled within these hours, with occasional Saturday shifts required to support business needs.
