Job summary

Charles River is seeking an Associate for our Pharmacokinetics team at the Senneville location. You will manage the entire PK analysis process within preclinical studies and communicate results to the SD, clients and scientists.

The role requires handling PK/TK data, drafting study plans, and performing non-compartmental analysis using standard PK tools. Responsibilities include data consolidation, preliminary analyses, and QA of PK/TK data, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to timelines.

Job description

As an Associate for our Pharmacokinetics team at the Senneville location, you will be responsible for the entire pharmacokinetic (PK) analysis process, including the communication of results within the context of preclinical studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Gather and consolidate relevant information related to pharmacokinetics (PK) and toxicokinetics (TK) studies;
• Review and draft study plans/protocols for PK and TK studies, including amendments and preparation of PK/TK phase plans;
• Perform data tabulation, conduct preliminary analyses, and generate summary results while demonstrating a strong understanding of PK processes and timelines;
• Conduct pharmacokinetic analyses (non-compartmental analysis), interpret results, and prepare associated scientific reports;
• Independently use PK platform tools, including Phoenix, PK Assist, and Integral.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with the Study Director (SD), clients, and involved scientists (IS and/or PI);
• Independently identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to production activities and scientific methodologies, in collaboration with the PK team;
• Perform quality control (QC) review of PK/TK data, analysis and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance;
• Maintain active scientific awareness in pharmacokinetics, including literature review and integration of relevant advancements, as well as proficiency with analysis software (e.g., WinNonlin and other PK parameter estimation tools).

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

• Baccalaureate in science or other advanced degrees preferred;
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as PK associate;
• Proficient in performing non-compartmental analysis (NCA) using the PK modeling and analysis platforms; Phoenix WinNonlin and PK Assist (mandatory);
• Experienced with 'Integral' for data integration, study management, and PK/TK data review;
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.

Role Specific Information:

• Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
• Salary: $75,000 annually;
• Schedule: Monday-Friday with possible weekends when needed;
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
