Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacist on duty to manage the Pharmacy operations, provide consultations to customers and health care providers, and dispense medications. You will maintain privacy, meet regulatory requirements, and support expanded scope services where possible.

Key duties include counselling on prescriptions, behind-the-counter products, and coordinating with other health care professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy.
• Provide counselling on prescriptions and OTC products.
• Ensure accuracy of dispensed prescriptions and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with health care providers as needed.
• Maintain records per legislation and policy.
• Review workflow queues and manage inventory daily.
• Oversee stock levels and orders from wholesalers.
• Follow SOPs for will call and expired inventory.
