CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Oakville team. Under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Staff Pharmacist responds to a multitude of scenarios including, but not limited to: Verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities
  • Collaboration with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
  • Communications with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to always ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
  • Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
  • Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
  • Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.
  • Minimum one year pharmacy experience preferred.
What You Will Bring to The Team
  • Currently licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT), Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
  • Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
  • Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
  • Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.

Compensation Range

$48 - $55/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This role will be on site at our Oakville pharmacy - 3430 Superior Ct, Oakville, ON L6L 0C4 and follows a five-day workweek.
