Why this role is important?

Summary:

To manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to the full scope of professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

Responsibilities:

• Pharmacy and Customer Service: Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy, practice within legal requirements, ensure privacy and confidentiality, provide counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products, practice to the full extent of your scope, be identifiable to the public, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, communicate with healthcare professionals, maintain records as per legislation.
• Workflow and Inventory Management: Control access respecting confidentiality, review workflow queues daily, manage stock and expired inventory, oversee stock levels and orders, comply with regulations regarding controlled substances, report to authorities as required.
• Operations: Maintain a professional environment, involve in financial reporting, respond to store communications, file incident reports for medication or privacy incidents.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to think independently and make decisions.
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and delegating tasks, coaching colleagues.
• Proven ability to drive business growth, lead by example, support programs.
• Exceptional customer service and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills with action plan execution experience.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems and personal computing skills are assets.
• Adherence to health and safety procedures, ongoing training and education.
