Job Overview:

The Pharmacist fulfills daily operational responsibilities to ensure the safe and effective use of medications for patients, adhering to contemporary standards of practice.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school
• Current NJ Pharmacy License
• NJ Board Registration

Preferred:

• Minimum of one year accredited pharmacy residency
• Previous hospital experience

Essential Functions:

• Review physician orders for appropriateness, dosing, and potential complications
• Compare new orders with current patient information and resolve drug-related issues
• Document interventions and communicate with nursing staff and patients
• Provide medication information to support nurses and educate patients at discharge
