Job summary

Pet Planet Prince Albert is hiring for a part-time retail position. The role requires afternoon and evening availability from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and two weekends per month.

You will greet customers, assist with selecting pet foods and supplies, and operate the checkout. Prior retail or customer-service experience is an asset, as is knowledge of dogs, cats or pet products. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lb, stocking merchandise, and maintaining clean, organized displays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dogs, cats or pet products is an asset.
• Retail or customer-service experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them select suitable food, treats, supplements and pet supplies.
• Answer customer questions and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Learn about pet nutrition, wellness and products carried in the store.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer purchases.
• Receive, unpack and stock merchandise.
• Lift and move bags/boxes weighing more than 50 lb (23 kg).
• Organize shelves and maintain attractive displays.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory tasks.
• Keep the sales floor, checkout area and stock areas clean and organized.
• Work cooperatively with other team members.
