Job summary

Pet Valu in Fall River, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Store Keyholder to ensure great store execution, help customers choose the right products, and support daily operations.

You will handle cashiering, stock, and merchandising, and play a key role in maintaining safety, integrity, and a friendly store environment. The position requires at least 2 years in retail, POS experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to/from the store.
• Driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area.
• Sweeping, dusting and other store maintenance tasks.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items up to 50 lbs.
• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• Assign daily goals and tasks when managers are unavailable.
• Other duties as required.
