Job summary

Abell Pest Control Inc. is seeking a Pest Technician in Coquitlam, BC to conduct thorough inspections for various properties, identify pest problems, select eradication methods, and provide recommendations to prevent future infestations.

The role also involves building new business through on-site sales and delivering exceptional customer service. You will travel to client sites, follow safety procedures, and may receive a company vehicle and incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Willingness to obtain your Applicator’s License.
• Sales experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear guidelines
• Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site

Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.
