Abell Pest Control is seeking a Pest Technician in Kelowna to conduct thorough inspections, identify pest problems, and implement effective eradication strategies for a variety of clients. The role includes on-site service and building new business through sales.

You will receive thorough on-the-job training, opportunities for professional development, and a competitive base salary with commission and bonuses. A company vehicle is provided along with health benefits and RRSP matching.

Formación

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License.
• Sales experience an asset.

• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities.
• Follow safety procedures when using fumigants and pesticides and power spraying equipment.

Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear guidelines
• Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site

Requirements:

• A Driver's License with a clean driving record
